A lawsuit filed against rapper Foxy Brown for allegedly smashing a woman in the head with a cellphone two years ago has been dismissed.
Arlene Raymond, a neighbor of the 30-year-old hip-hop artist in Crown Heights, claimed that during an argument over the noise level of Brown's car radio, the rapper - real Inga Fung Marchand - harassed her at her Flatbush workplace and smashed her in the face with a Blackberry.
Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Robert Miller dismissed the suit on Monday on the grounds that Brown was never served with legal papers.
This is not the first time the rapper has been cited for assault. In 2004, she allegedly attacked two manicurists in Manhattan over a $20 bill dispute. She entered three years of probation after pleading not guilty. She also pleaded not guilty to assaulting a beauty supply store employee in 2007.
