Snoop Dogg's wife is not dead. The rapper denies sick stories that his wife Shante was dead and hidden in his basement.
As TMZ learned, a tipster posted on the California Highway Patrol website that the 36-year-old Grammy Award-nominated artist's wife was murdered.
The text on the CHP site at 3:19 p.m. on Friday read: "The Word is 'Snoop Doggy Dog' has the dead body of his wife in his basement."
Snoop's rep released a statement regarding the hoax, saying, "Of course, the CHP rumors are absolutely not true, totally ridiculous, and most of all hurtful to Snoop Dogg and his family."
"Snoop, Shante and their family are all alive and well - we appreciate the fans concerns for their safety. Anything said or reported on regarding the death of Shante Broadus is totally false."
