Charlie Sheen's twins have been born six weeks early. The "Two And A Half Men" actor and his wife Brooke Mueller welcomed sons Bob and Max into the world on Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Despite their premature arrival, Charlie's publicist Stan Rosenfield insists there are no health complications.

He said: "The boys doing great and so is Brooke. The whole family is very happy. Charlie is ecstatic. He's a family man - now he has three daughters and two sons. He's a wonderful father."

Charlie, 43, had previously said he and 31-year-old Brooke - who was hospitalized with premature contractions last month - were expecting the boys to arrive ahead of schedule.

Speaking last week, he said: "What time are they due? It could be tomorrow, next week. We're on standby."

The couple had everything ready for the babies and earlier this year Charlie revealed he was so impressed with the new nursery he was considering using the room himself.

He said: "Forget being a babies' room. If I had a room like that growing up at any point, I would have been over the moon!"

Charlie - who already has daughters Sam, five, and Lola, three, with ex-wife Denise Richards and 24-year-old daughter Cassandra from another marriage - and Brooke got married last May and announced they were expecting twins in October.
