Emily Blunt won't quit the U.K. for Hollywood. The British actress - who has won critical acclaim for her portrayal of late monarch Queen Victoria in new movie "The Young Victoria" - has no intention of relocating to Los Angeles because she doesn't trust anyone there.
She said: "It's just far too cliquey. You have to be very careful when trying to find who your true friends are in that town. You can just feel the quest for success in Los Angeles. It comes at you from everyone and every corner. You can smell the fear."
Emily is adamant Tinseltown just can't compare to her hometown of London. The 26-year-old star - who at one time lived in Vancouver, Canada, with her ex-boyfriend Michael Buble - loves being in the U.K. capital because it is such a vibrant city.
She explained to Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I love the bustle of being in London, the human contact you get from just being on the street. Los Angeles is just a place of machines, cars just passing each other. I just don't get a feeling of community."
Blunt is also unsure if she would fit into Los Angeles on a full-time basis - because she doesn't have a big enough entourage for a rising star.
The actress - who can also be seen in "The Great Buck Howard," "Sunshine Cleaning" and "The Wolf Man" this year - said: "I don't really have the entourage. I have my agent and my publicist. I don't have a personal assistant. I don't have anything like that. I do get a weird joy about getting to go out to buy my own toilet roll, if you can believe it. So I don't get driven crazy by my career."
