Jennifer Aniston is taking John Mayer to the Oscars. The 31-year-old musician is excited about accompanying his girlfriend to the glittering event on Sunday, in a rare public appearance together.
John said: "It's my first Oscars. And it's my first being an Oscar boyfriend."
Jennifer will be presenting an award at the prestigious ceremony at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
Oscars night will mark the end of two busy weeks for the couple - who have just returned from a Valentine's trip to the Bahamian island of Eleuthera.
Last week, Jennifer marked her 40th birthday with a party, an intimate dinner, and a family gathering at her Beverly Hills home.
John - who picked up Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for "Gravity" and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Say" at this year's Grammys - says he will return to the studio to finish his new album once the Oscars are over.
He said: "After that night I have a deal almost signed in blood that says I must go into the studio and finish this record. So after Oscar Sunday, Monday morning I'm invisible."
