Michelle Pfeiffer feels "lucky" to have younger on-screen love interests.
The 50-year-old star - who appears alongside Rupert Friend, 27, in new movie "Cheri" - doesn't mind getting older because she is still paired with handsome young co-stars.
She said: "It seems my leading men keep getting younger the older I get. It seems people have an aversion about casting me with men my age. Lucky for me, I don't really mind."
"The roles become more interesting the older you get. It's also at a time in my life when I'm not wanting to just work all the time, so it's all just fine."
The actress, who reached the milestone age last April, found turning 50 "liberating" and insists people should stop worrying about their age.
She added: "If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait till you hit 50 - and I was surprised at how liberating it was. The anticipation of something is always much worse than the reality."
