Kate Winslet had "no boundaries" in her love scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio. Kate's husband - Sam Mendes, who directed Kate and Leonardo in "Revolutionary Road" - has revealed his wife didn't get embarrassed when she shot her steamy scenes in the movie.

He said: "There were no boundaries - Leo could go anywhere and Kate will never get offended and he knew that. It's exciting to know that someone's never going to get cross with you or embarrassed if you hit them or lift them onto a kitchen cabinet and make love to them or whatever it is."

"That was enormous good fortune for me because I inherited that relationship and it's the sort of thing you can't really create in rehearsals. It's just there."

Leonardo, 34, recently said that love scenes between the on-screen couple were "completely natural and comfortable."

He said: "I was entirely used to kissing Kate after making 'Titanic' with her 10 years ago. It was completely natural and comfortable. It felt like kind of a family - a weird, twisted family."

"Revolutionary Road" is released in the U.K. on January 30.
