Kate Winslet had a crush on Patrick Swayze when she was a teenager. The "Revolutionary Road" actress thought the "Dirty Dancing" star was the sexiest person she had ever seen.
She said: "When was 14 and I saw Patrick Swayze in 'Dirty Dancing' I thought he was just gorgeous. It was serious. He was going to ride up on a white horse and take me away to do some beautiful dancing on the beach."
The 33-year-old actress also insisted she will never apologize for her emotional Golden Globes acceptance speech, in which she gasped for air, sobbed and forgot her fellow nominee Angelina Jolie's name.
She said: "I have been doing this for a long time, 16 years, and I have never won anything. To then win not one, but two! I was completely shocked. That is not supposed to happen to a girl from Reading."
"I'm certainly not going to apologize for the way I reacted. I was genuinely touched."
The British beauty - who received two Best Actress BAFTA nominations for "The Reader" and "Revolutionary Road" last week - revealed she is nervously awaiting the unveiling of the Academy Award nominations Thursday.
She added to BBC Radio One: "I am nervous. I'm only human. I don't want to be one of those people who says, 'It's an honor just to be nominated,' but it is. Especially for two films I am so close to."
