Renee Zellweger is dating a journalist. The "Leatherheads" actress was spotted enjoying an intimate meal with MSNBC legal correspondent Dan Abrams at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, New York, on Saturday.

The couple canoodled throughout the evening, appearing completely at ease in each other's company.

Renee is not the first actress Dan, 42, has been romantically linked with.

He has previously dated "Law and Order" star Elisabeth Rohm and "Dexter" actress Jaime Murray. He is also said to have enjoyed a brief flirtation with supermodel Elle Macpherson.

Renee - who has previously dated actors Jim Carrey and George Clooney and White Stripes singer Jack White - has not been in a serious relationship since splitting from her country music star husband Kenny Chesney in 2005, after four months of marriage.

The 39-year-old actress recently admitted she doesn't have time for a boyfriend as she is too busy concentrating on her hectic acting schedule.

She said: "I'm not single, I'm busy. That's my line. The thing is, I'm away all the time. I suppose if I sat still long enough to get to know somebody beyond a dinner date, maybe."

"But I don't feel like my life is empty or that I have to make something happen. I have projects to develop."
