Patrick Swayze has renewed his wedding vows in a "fairytale" ceremony. The "Dirty Dancing" star - who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year - and Lisa Niemi, his wife of 33 years, reaffirmed their love for each other by recreating the classic story of Snow White.

The actor said: "We did it very Prince Charming and Snow White. I rode in on a white stallion."

Lisa said: "It was like a fairytale. One of the happiest days ever."

The 56-year-old star has been fighting the disease with chemotherapy and experimental medications for the past year. Patrick says he has been like "going through hell" and he doesn't think he would have survived if it wasn't for Lisa.

He explained: "Part of me says I couldn't have made it through without her - or not nearly as elegantly as I have."

The actor has revealed he is living on borrowed time and is unlikely to live longer than two years.

He told Barbara Walters: "I'd say five years is pretty wishful thinking. Two years seems likely if you're going to believe the statistics."

Despite the bleak prognosis, the star is still hoping for a breakthrough.

He said: "I keep my heart, soul and spirit open to miracles. I pray. I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life. Not lived in the shadow of cancer, but in the light."
