Simon Cowell is "like the member of the family you can't get rid of," says Paula Abdul. Paula - who is a judge alongside Simon on U.S. TV show "American Idol" - has a love-hate relationship with the British music mogul.
She said: "Simon is the brother I inherited without asking for. He's like the member of the family you can't get rid of!"
Paula also defended her comments about Simon and "American Idol" - who she blamed for the suicide of pop wannabe, and her stalker, Paula Goodspeed - insisting she has the right to say whatever she wants.
She added to America's OK! magazine: "Simon doesn't hold back on anything, and he doesn't know what I said anyway. He's still in London, thank God!"
Paula had previously revealed she thought Goodspeed - who she took out several restraining orders against at different stages of her life - found the rejection from "American Idol" too difficult to accept.
She said: "I said this girl is a stalker of mine and please do not let her in. But it's fun for them to cause me stress. This was something that would make good television."
