The celeb outfitter and new author tips us off.

Uber stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe finally spills all of her inside secrets in her first book, "Style A to Zoe: The Art of Fashion, Beauty & Everything Glamour." We sat down with the woman best known for dressing Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and, well, half of Hollywood to find out how to live the glamorous life (hint: it doesn’t have to involve a celeb sized budget).

“Glamour has guided me through my entire life,” Zoe tells us. “Glamour is all encompassing. It could be a hotel room and when you walk in, it’s a glamorous room. It could be a woman who is 85 years old and is dressed so simply and so chic. It’s a state of mind rather than a specific thing. If you go at your life with this glamour approach to it, everything comes together a little bit more. There’s no real definition, but you can apply glamour to every area of your life. It’s a word with a bit of a fantasy element that reminds me of when I was young and all the women around me who were so glamorous.”

Before you run out to pick up some killer stilettos and a faux fur coat, Zoe cautions that “glamour doesn’t mean that when you go on a plane that you have to be dripping in diamonds and seven inch heels. Again, it goes back to a state of mind. It’s about taking that extra five minutes to put yourself together and it’s that psyche that I’m trying to develop.” Hey, we’re sold!
