Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem's relationship is reportedly on the rocks. The "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" actress - who has been dating Oscar-winning star Javier since August - is said to be furious after Javier broke their agreement to take a year-long sabbatical to star in new movie "Biutiful."
A source said: "Penelope and Javier wanted to take a year off after "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" to concentrate on their romance and spend some quality time together. But Javier couldn't resist the chance to star in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's new film."
"Penelope is really angry because she turned down a few really good roles because she was so committed to their sabbatical."
Filming on "Biutiful" is now taking place in Barcelona, Spain.
It was recently reported Penelope was keen to adopt a baby from India with Javier, according to her brother Eduardo.
He said: "She admires Angelina Jolie and has always said she wants to do the same thing. She wants to adopt an Indian child when the time comes."
