Michael Jackson has ruled out a Jackson 5 reunion. It was reported earlier this week Michael and his brothers - Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Randy and Marlon - were planning a world tour next year, for which they would be joined by their sister, "Together Again" singer Janet Jackson.

However, the "Thriller" singer has denied the rumors, insisting he wants to concentrate on his solo career.

Michael, 50, said: "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we've certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them. I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon."

Earlier this week, Jermaine announced: "This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together. It is just the timing, so what we've been doing is working on the music and all the logistics."

Michael's eagerly-anticipated comeback album is set to be released next year.
