Vanessa Hudgens thought Zac Efron was "a really cool guy" when she first met him.
The "High School Musical" actress - who has been dating her co-star for over two years - was instantly attracted to him when they were introduced on the set of their first movie in 2006.
She said: "The second I met Zac I thought he was a really cool guy. It's hard not to have chemistry with someone who is quite attractive. We're both supportive of each other, but we're doing our own things, too. We have different projects we're working on."
The 19-year-old star revealed meeting Zac was not the only positive thing to come from playing shy schoolgirl Gabriella in the hit Disney film franchise.
Vanessa also reveled in the opportunity to make friends and pretend she was at school, because she never enjoyed the high school experience as she was educated at home by her mother Gina.
She added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "The best part of it was the friends I made. We've grown up in the business together, we've been through so much and shared so many moments."
