The joke was on the media and the easily deceived public when it was recently revealed that Britney Spears' six-week-old son's name is Jayden James Federline, and not Sutton Pierce as previously thought.
The child's real identity was revealed on a birth certificate filed at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder's office on Tuesday.
According to the paper work - which was signed by his father, K-Fed - Jayden James was born at 1:11 a.m. on September 12 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Since BritBrit gave birth, it has been widely reported that the tit tot's name was Sutton Pierce Federline, giving him the same initials as his big brother, one-year-old Sean Preston.
However, the "Toxic" singer had refused to confirm the name until "his picture appears in People magazine."
The rumors that Sutton Pierce might not be the real name surfaced after a source told the New York Daily News newspaper, "Grandma Federline calls the child Jayden."
Meanwhile, Britney has been spotted enjoying a rare night out with a girl pal. She left husband Kevin and the couple's two sons at home, as she partied at a Pussycat Dolls concert in Las Vegas last week.
The pop princess and her companion appeared to enjoy the performance at Pure nightclub and only called it a night at 1 a.m.
