Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes are throwing friends David and Victoria Beckham a "Welcome to America" party. The Hollywood couple have teamed-up with fellow Scientologists Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith to organize the bash to welcome David and Victoria to Los Angeles on Saturday (7/21/07).
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Invitations went out all over Hollywood. They were printed on red velvet with tacky gold lettering."
David and Spice Girl Victoria arrived in Los Angeles with their three sons - Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four, and two-year-old Cruz - last Thursday (7/12/07).
The couple moved to America after soccer star David signed to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy team. Victoria, 33, said recently, "We are all so excited about moving. The boys actually think they're moving to Disneyland!"
Tom and Katie are currently in Berlin, Germany, with one-year-old daughter Suri. Tom is in the city filming new movie 'Valkyrie,' a World War II drama, which tells the story of a failed attempt to assassinate Hitler. Tom stars as the plot's mastermind Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg.
