Scientology poster boy Tom Cruise has denied reports that his baby momma, Katie Holmes, is suffering from post-natal depression following the birth of their daughter Suri last month.

According to UK publication Handbag, Katie was "constantly in tears" since becoming a mother.

However, Tom's publicist says, "Those reports are not true. Ms. Holmes is doing wonderfully."

Last year, Tom publicly criticized former model and actress Brooke Shields when she came forward to admit that she used anti-depressants to treat her post-natal depression after the birth of her daughter Rowan in 2003. Scientologists have a strict rule against using medication to treat that ailment.

Tom insists post-partum depression sufferers can be cured without medication, saying, "You can use vitamins to help a woman through those things."
