After waiting anxiously for a year and a half, on October 20, friends and family of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise finally saw their patience come to fruition, with a wedding invitation for the weekend of November 16-19.
The Hollywood couple's rep, Arnold Robinson, confirms the wedding will take place November 18 in Italy, telling US weekly, in an exclusive report, "All those details are correct," adding that, "proper security measures are being taken" to keep the vows private.
According to the report, in addition to styling Cruise's groom wear, Italian designer Giorgio Armani has also agreed to create Holmes' wedding dress, telling US, "When I am asked by a friend to make a wedding wardrobe, it goes straight to my heart. It really is an honor to play a small role in that milestone moment."
The 27-year-old Holmes and 44-year-old Cruise have been engaged since June 2005, and recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Suri.
