Tobey Maguire didn't leave his daughter's side for three weeks after she was born.
The "Spider-Man 3" actor says his life has changed dramatically since his jewelry maker fiance Jennifer Meyer gave birth to the couple's first child, Ruby, last November.
Tobey, 31, said: "I have other aspects in my life now. I have a little daughter and that changes things tremendously. I didn't do anything for three weeks after she was born, literally didn't go anywhere or leave where she was for more than an hour. Then for six weeks I wouldn't do anything that meant leaving her for more than a few hours."
Last month, Tobey took Jennifer and Ruby along to the world premiere of "Spider-Man 3" in Tokyo, Japan. The actor took his family along to the glitzy event because he couldn't bear to be apart from them.
He said: "I love being a dad. I didn't want to be away from them and I didn't want my fiancee Jen to miss it. It's a pretty eventful moment and I wanted to be with them. I haven't been away for a night yet."
The superhero movie, which is based on the Marvel comic book series, opens worldwide on May 4.
