Japan has been star struck by the presence of Johnny Depp at his Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Tokyo premier.

Many Japanese supporters went crazy after meeting the Hollywood hunk. Joining Depp was his close friend and the director of the movie, Tim Burton.

Johnny Depp wants to duet with Barry Manilow. The Hollywood star revealed he would jump at the chance to sing with the 64-year-old 'Mandy' singer.

Speaking about his lead role in musical 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street', he told Envelope magazine: "I don't think I would have attempted this kind of project with anyone but a director like Tim Burton."

Johnny Depp was reportedly surprised that while working side by side with director and pal Tim Burton, he was asked by Burton's fiance, Helena Bonham Carter, to be the godfather of their child.

The director, known for his strange and gothic atmosphere of his films, apparently couldn't bring himself to do the asking. With that being the problem, he had asked Bonham Carter to put the idea to the actor.
