Johnny Depp's long-term partner Vanessa Paradis has returned an engagement ring he bought her. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star was recently spotted shopping for the band in California, but Vanessa - who he has been with for 10 years - reportedly took it back as she was unhappy with the design.

A source said: "Johnny got Vanessa a drop-dead gorgeous engagement band but she returned it to the jeweler. She wants her ring to be absolutely perfect."

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis will marry in April. The couple - who have been together for 10 years and have two children, Lily-Rose, nine, and six-year-old Jack, together - are planning to tie the knot in a chapel on the grounds of their $1.25 million French estate.
