The party is officially over for Lindsay Lohan.
While 'normal' girls around the world are able to celebrate their 21st birthday, movie star Lindsay will have to sit this one out. Despite the fact that she has been heavily partying for years, the "Mean Girls" star had planned an elaborate bash for her coming-of-age birthday.
However, with her second stint in rehab not yet over, the plug has been pulled on the PURE nightclub party, which would have seen Lindsay going wild in Vegas at a vodka-sponsored event.
The nightclub, which was advertising the 21st party, confirmed that the plans have fallen through. A statement was released saying, "We support Lindsay and wish her the best as she is taking care of personal matters at this time. Due to the unique circumstances, as of this afternoon Lindsay's birthday party at PURE Nightclub has been canceled. We think the world of her and look forward to working with her in the future."
Lindsay is in rehab for the second time this year. Her first attempt saw her regularly leaving Wonderland in L.A. for shopping trips and filming commitments. However, at Promises, Lindsay has been kept under control.
Her representative told Us Weekly magazine that there are no celebration plans for Lindsay's 21st. She said, "The party was canceled officially over two weeks ago. We were confused why PURE was even still promoting it. But Lindsay will not be having the birthday party at PURE and is focusing on her recovery 100 percent."
