Gwyneth Paltrow has been voted Britain's best-dressed woman - despite being American. The pregnant actress, who now resides in London with husband Chris Martin and daughter Apple, beat supermodel Kate Moss and actress Thandie Newton in the annual poll in Harper's Bazaar magazine.

According to Harper's fashion features editor, Sara Buys, Gwyneth's stylehas improved since she set up home in the British capital.

Actress Thandie Newton has won the spot as the next Bond girl opposite the new 007, Daniel Craig. Thandie was not the top choice to play the sexy spy Vesper Lynd, both Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron turned down the role.

But, producers and Daniel were reportedly "very impressed" with Thandie's work in "Casino Royale." The Zimbabwe-born actress' first huge acting gig was as the title character in Oprah Winfrey's "Beloved" in 1998.
