Tara Reid is insisting once again that she is not a party girl.
Despite her reputation as Young Hollywood's original partier, who has been seen falling out of nightclubs and dancing on tables long before Paris Hilton made it a career, the "American Pie" actress insists that she prefers quiet nights in to loud nights out.
The blonde star, who has recently been touring Australia doing nightclub appearances, told OK! magazine that anorexia rumors have no truth to them.
The emaciated star said, "I'm not too thin. I go up 10 pounds, I go down 10 pounds. I was thin for a movie that I just finished ['Vipers']. Now they're going to see me and say I'm too fat because I've gained 10 pounds...I can't win!"
Tara, who has been absent from the big screen for many years, continued that her partying is a lot tamer than the media makes it out to be. She said, "If I have a drink in my hand, it doesn't make me an alcoholic. If I want a glass of wine, I want a glass of wine. I shouldn't be afraid of it because of what the media might say. Anything you do, you're screwed. That's the lesson I've learned."
Instead of hitting up Hollywood's hottest clubs, Tara says that spending time with her nearest and dearest keeps her happy. She said, "I don't like going out every single night. I like to hang with friends and eat and sit next to a fire - that to me is the best night."
