Kate Moss and Pete Doherty are going on a vitamin-rich diet to maximize their chances of having a baby. The 33-year-old model and her 28-year-old rocker boyfriend - who plan to wed this summer - are so eager to start a family they are doing all they can to improve Kate's chances of conceiving.

A source said: "Kate has been told if she wants to get pregnant, she needs foods rich in vitamin D."

Kate's new baby-hopeful diet comprises of lots of protein-rich foods, including fish and eggs.

According to friends the Babyshambles singer is finding it more difficult to stick to the healthy eating regime than his model love, and has been indulging in lots of junk food while she has been away on a modeling shoot.

A pal said: "While Kate was aboard Pete gorged on junk food because he knows he will be back eating lentils soon."

Kate already has a four-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, from her relationship with publisher Jefferson Hack.

Pete has a son, Astile, with singer Lisa Moorish, conceived after a brief fling. Moorish also has a daughter, Molly, with Oasis singer Liam Gallagher.
