Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah's boyfriend was attacked with a machete. Freddie Fuller was found lying with his left arm and leg "hanging by a thread," The Sun newspaper reported.
Fuller is believed to be attacked outside the Queen Victoria pub in Aldershot, Hampshire on Christmas Eve.
"As far as we know, Amelle was not there at the time of the attack although she went to the hospital as soon as she heard," a source says.
"Amelle was terrified that she was going to lose him. She has had a nightmare Christmas. She's hardly slept and spent most of her time crying."
Fuller also suffered stab wounds to his head and legs. He was admitted to Frimley Park hospital in Surrey, where he had undergone a six-hour emergency operation to save his limbs.
Hampshire Police refused to deny or confirm the reports but said they are already investigating a fight in Aldershot.
"Detectives in Aldershot are investigating the circumstances surrounding an altercation between two men... The incident ellipsis occurred at around 21:15 GMT in Heathland Street in Aldershot on Christmas Eve in which a 25-year-old local man suffered serious arm and leg injuries," a Hampshire police spokesman says.
Before the attack, the boyfriend and the Sugababe were allegedly enjoying a night out with friends at Yates' Wine Lodge.
