The late pop icon's brother Jermaine Jackson - who is organising the event with Georg Kindel - has announced the show has had to be cancelled because it was impossible to organise in time for September 26.

| Jermaine Jackson has confirmed he wants Chris Brown to play at the Michael Jackson tribute concert. The "Run It" singer - who is on probation for attacking ex-girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year - was included in the original line-up for the show in Vienna, Austria, but his spokesman insisted he hadn't agreed to perform. However, Jermaine is keen for Chris - who has openly stated what a huge influence Michael has been on his career - to participate and hopes he will be there to perform either "Man in the Mirror" or "Thriller." | |
| Michael Jackson has been buried. The late King of Pop was laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Thursday night, in a ceremony attended by his family and a host of celebrity friends. Among the stars who paid their last respects were Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin and girlfriend Mila Kunis, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Gladys Knight, Rev. Al Sharpton, Corey Feldman, Kenny Ortega and Michael's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley. | | | |
| Spike Lee says every person in the world loved Michael Jackson. The iconic film director - who was friends with the late pop superstar and directed the video for his 1996 hit "They Don't Care About Us" - claims Michael's fame eclipsed that of every other entertainer there has ever been. He said: "I'm not trying to disrespect anybody, Elvis or Frank Sinatra, but what Michael did globally - there wasn't anybody in the world who did not love Michael Jackson." | |
