Steve-O, the star of "Jackass," missed his March 26 court date and forfeited $10,000 bail. The star missed the court date because he has been hospitalized for the past two weeks at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He voluntarily checked himself into the hospital.
According to Steve-O's lawyer Barry Sands, the troubled prankster decided not to leave the hospital to attend his court hearing on felony cocaine charges on Wednesday, but will attend the next one.
Los Angeles Superior Judge James Banco issued a continuance and set the arraignment for April 23. The charges against Steve-O stem from an incident at a Hollywood apartment building in March in which the star allegedly had an altercation with another tenant.
Since going into the hospital for treatment, Steve-O has been writing about his addictions and life on his MySpace blog. His latest writing includes asking the media to not spread lies about him. He says, "I like to consider myself to be exciting enough that dishonesty is not required to get a story out of me."
