Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, is refusing any movie deals that include leaving her native Australia.
Her manager John Stainton released a statement that the girl will stay at the Queensland zoo founded by her dad. With all of the offers presented to the nine-year-old khaki-wearing environmentalist, none outside the U.S. would be accepted.
Stainton explains, "While Bindi lives at the zoo in Beerwah, she has every chance of being a normal kid."
He also expresses the pressures that current Hollywood has on young celebrities, "I think the influences she would get from having to live in Hollywood, or do a movie in Hollywood, would be different."
Steve Irwin became an international icon on animal awareness and education with his television shows. During one of his shoots in September of 2006, he suffered a fatal chest wound from a stingray.
Following his death, his daughter made a promise to follow in his footsteps. She has successfully launched her own clothing line. She has her own DVD on children's fitness and became Australia's official tourism ambassador.
