Star Jones has always been a star in her mind - perhaps thinking too much of herself at times. The former "The View" co-host admits she hasn't been the most humble person in the world. For the most part, she's always had a "higher than thou" image of herself, but it's something she's "earned." Explain that one.

Meredith Viera is saddened by the kind of "joke" the talk show "The View" has turned out to be. Since her departure, and since the controversial frenzy that developed between Star Jones and Barbara Walters shortly after Jones made her own exit from the show, Viera has taken some time to reflect on everything that has happened. She tells Time magazine that she has rarely watched the show since her departure in June after accepting to replace Katie Couric as co-host on NBC's "Today" show.

Jessica Simpson was at the center of a nightclub altercation after bodyguards attacked a photographer for trying to snap a picture of the star. The four burly men forcibly snatched the New York Daily News snapper's digital memory card during a tussle at the Pink Elephant Club in the Hamptons early Sunday morning.

Rumor has it that Star Jones Reynolds' light is quickly fading. According to sources, ABC will announce the talk show host has been asked to leave "The View." The rumor mill is grinding that Star has gotten the boot because of Rosie O'Donnell. Says a source on the set, "It was always Rosie's condition of joining the show, and Barbara agreed to those conditions from the outset."

Being the best friend of the queen of everything, Oprah Winfrey, has its perks. Rumor has it that Oprah's BFF, Gayle King, could be the newest member of "The View" cast. Gayle started her career as a newswoman in Hartford, Connecticut, and has had her own syndicated talk show. Right now she's the editorial director for Oprah's O magazine.
