Star says that she was her heaviest at 250 lbs and was desperate to find a man. "I wanted to find someone who would be my life mate," Jones writes. "I knew I had to work on myself, make Star ready for him."

The couple married a year to the day after they met and she shed the weight.

Even though gastro surgery rumors ran rampant as Star lost more and more weight, the former lawyer insists that she limited portions of food she ate, began exercising doing Pilates, and participated in intensive boot camp workouts with four different trainers.

She reportedly did all this to fulfill her goal of weighing less than Reynolds in time for their 2004 wedding.
