The Spice Girls are rich girls. The girl group has reportedly pocketed a whopping $20 million each for their O2 Arena gig which lasted for 17 nights.
The quintet, composed of spices Baby (Emma Burton), Scary (Mel B), Sporty (Mel C), Ginger (Geri Halliwell) and Posh (Victoria Beckham), have made $100 during the sold-out concert.
The figure shadows any other star who has performed at the former Millennium Dome.
"Barbra Streisand had high ticket prices but only did three nights while Prince did 21 nights but sold tickets for next to nothing," a source tells the Evening Standard. "Not many groups can sell out 17 gigs at £75 ($150) a ticket, it's quite an achievement."
Meanwhile, Ginger Spice has recently claimed that their reunion tour has nothing to do with making a profit. "The truth of the matter is, to put on this tour has cost £18.6 million ($37.2 million). We have done this purely to celebrate our fans, the music and ourselves. This is not a moneymaking expedition. It really isn't. Hopefully, we will break even but it has never been about that."
