Spain's Princess Leonor has been introduced to her newborn baby sister. Eighteen-month-old Leonor met baby Sofia for the first time on Tuesday when she visited the Madrid hospital where her mother Crown Princess Letizia gave birth two days earlier.
Leonor was escorted by her father Prince Felipe, who had picked her up from the royal family's Zarzuela estate after spending the night with his wife and the new baby.
Hello! Website reports a proud Prince Felipe said Leonor showered her little sister with kisses.
The newborn baby was also visited later in the day by Felipe's sister Princess Cristina, accompanied by her three sons and her husband.
As she left the hospital Cristina told journalists her new niece is "gorgeous, and looks like her sister."
King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, after whom the new princess is named, also visited the baby princess, their eighth grandchild, later that day.
