Sigourney Weaver wouldn't have a baby at 59, because she thinks it's unfair on the child to have an old mother.

The 'Baby Mama' actress - who has an 18-year-old daughter Charlotte with husband Jim Simpson - doesn't intend to expand her family any further.

She said: "Even if I wanted to have a baby now, I think it's very difficult on the baby to have a tired mother. But then, on the other hand, I know a woman who had two children after she was 45 and it was a blessing. You have to figure it out yourself."

Sigourney also revealed she never wants to move from her New York home because she thinks it keeps her alive.

She added to Total Film magazine: "I hope I'm alive and in New York in 30 years' time because I see a lot of people going to the opera and the theatre and the museums. New York is the place to keep yourself alive and with people. If you don't go out, you become weaker and then you have a fall."
