Shia LaBeouf is reportedly heading to rehab. The 'Transformers' star - who was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) after a car accident late last month - is said to be considering a visit to a rehabilitation clinic to combat his alcohol addiction.

A source told TV show 'Extra': "He is thinking about going to rehab. Judges like to see it."

Taking advantage of Shia LaBeouf's current condition, director Michael Bay says he's thinking of writing the young actor's hand injury into the story of "Transformer 2."

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Bay says he is figuring a way to incorporate the young star's real life hand injury to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" script.

Shia LaBeouf was just taking responsibility for his actions during the car crash he was involved in on early Sunday morning, according to an eyewitness to the scene.

A man claiming to have witnessed the said accident, wherein the "Indiana Jones" star's pickup truck collided into another vehicle this weekend, says the other driver was telling the actor to flee the scene but LaBeouf didn't want to.

"Transformer" star Shia LaBeouf was not to blame for an early-morning car wreck in Los Angeles, according to the sheriff's department. They are pinning fault on the other driver for apparently running a red light.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore has said detectives have determined the other driver, who has not been identified, ran the light and will also be cited. LaBeouf was booked for a misdemeanor DUI and underwent surgery for injuries to his left hand.

It has been claimed Isabel suffered minor injuries in the collision which occurred at 3am in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Shia - who suffered injuries to his head and knee and required "extensive surgery" to his hand - was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

Shia LaBeouf is apologizing for the humiliating several-year-old video that is being circulated around the Web recently, wherein he provoked a friend to slap him by calling him a "faggot."

The film shows Shia laughingly provoked a friend to slap him by calling him the homophobic slur. Although all was done in good spirit and everyone in the footage was laughing along, a rep for the 21-year-old "Indiana Jones" star says he is embarrassed by the new viral video.
