Shia LaBeouf has been cleared of the DUI charge he was originally cited for following his car accident in July.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office has opted to not file charges against the 22-year-old "Transformers" star in connection with the vehicular accident he was involved in two months ago.
Spokeswoman Jane Robinson said Thursday, "After reviewing the case, we've declined to file any charges due to insufficient evidence."
The actor's attorney, Michael Norris, told People magazine, "We're very happy with the prosecutor's decision, and we're glad this whole thing is resolved without Shia having to go to court."
LaBeouf was involved in a car collision on July 28, wherein his Ford F-150 pickup truck rolled over twice after hitting another car. It was later learned that the actor attempted a legal left turn when Herbert Simon, the other car's driver, ran a red light, causing their vehicles to collide.
The actor suffered a mangled hand that needed surgery, while his passenger, "Transformers 2" costar Isabel Lucas, was treated for minor injuries.
LaBeouf still has to face a hearing on Friday on whether he would have his license suspended.
