There is a glorious reason for Sheryl Crow to celebrate and shout out the lyrics to her song, "Everyday is a winding road... I get a little bit closer to feeling fine." The optimistic and strong rocker recently revealed she is no longer chained to cancer after her latest mammogram showed no signs of the potentially-fatal disease.
Earlier this year, the singer/guitarist was diagnosed with breast cancer and endured a long battle to save her life. Since then, her doctors have recommended she come in for a check-up every six months for the next three years to make certain she is clear - and so far, so good!
The 44-year-old blonde - who once dated champion cyclist Lance Armstrong - has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. And she recently made her oh-so-relieving announcement on the Ellen Degeneres show.
According to StarPulse.com, she told the talk show host, "I went to the doctor, and I had my mammogram. I can't lie to you - it hurt. They did a whole bunch of different shots of both breasts and I'm free and clear, as far as I know."
