Even though she has already apologized, Sharon Stone apparently isn't getting any forgiveness. She faces a whopping $1 billion lawsuit from the survivors and victims' families of China's recent earthquake.

In May, the "Basic Instinct" star had sparked criticism when she said China suffered from the 2008 Sichuan earthquake because of karma.

The quake killed thousands of residents and left 4.8 million people homeless.

Stone later apologized for the remark.

However, for New York lawyer Ming Hai, her sorry wasn't enough. According to hollyscoop.com, she rallied more than 1,000 survivors and victims' families to serve the star with legal documents. They demand to have a better apology from her or they'll sue for $1 billion.

Hai tells the gossip website, "For the families who have lost their loved ones or lost limbs or suffered severe injuries, your... statement and act has caused extreme emotional distress."
