Shakira Turns Down A Movie Due To Nudity

In this generation, showing some skin makes you an "it" figure, but for a Latin superstar, it was not an "it" thing.

Shakira, who's known for her signature hip dance, turned down a starring role of the movie "Love in the Time Of Cholera" because of its on-screen nudity requirement.

Shakira said in an interview, "There was nudity involved, so I said no. My parents wouldn't like it at all. So I said thank you, but no thank you."

This is not the first time Shakira took some interest in acting. In 1994 Shakira already started her acting career, appearing in the Colombian telenovela El Oasis, playing the character of Luisa Maria.
