Baywatch babe and all around sexpot, Pamela Anderson, has taken the cause of greyhound rights personally.
The animal lover and PETA member, has stated on her website, "I can't believe I still read about such ignorant blatant cruelty. Thousands of greyhounds are killed each year as the declining dog-racing industry struggles to stay alive. Some puppies are killed in the name of "selective breeding" before they ever touch a racetrack."
She also goes on to state that the dogs live in cages, are muzzled, and race in extreme temperatures.
Further, she claims that as the dogs get older and slower they are killed or given to research labs.
Pam wants people to adopt these greyhounds and save them from the horrors of the racetrack.
She asks that people get in touch with the Greyhound Protection League (www.greyhound.org) to find out how to adopt. No news on how many greyhounds she has adopted.
