Sean And Robin End Marriage

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have ended their 11 year marriage.

The Oscar winning actor and "The Princess Bride" star confirmed to PEOPLE post-Christmas that their union is officially over.

The couple, who began dating in the mid-90s after Sean ended his marriage with Madonna, broke up briefly in the early stages of their relationship.

However, this time the split is final.

Sean, 47, and Robin, 41, have two children together - Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16.

The Hollywood pair's marriage wasn't always personal. Sean and Robin made their relationship professional on separate occassions, including the 1998 film "Hurlyburly" and "She's So Lovely".
