Days after Scott Stapp was arrested for domestic assault with intent to commit a felony, the rocker has spoken out about the embarrassing incident. The former lead singer of Creed says he apologizes for attempting to strike his wife, Jacyln Nesheiwat, with a bottle of Orangina and wishes people will let them "move forward as a family."

In a statement, he said, "I am truly sorry and seek forgiveness from my wife. As she has done the same seeking forgiveness from me. We both know we were wrong in how we handled the argument and in some of the allegations that were made. Now we are tring (sic) to move forward as a family."

Although Scott Stapp has had his fair share of run-ins with the law, this weekend's arrest proved to be the icing on the cake. The former lead singer of rock band Creed was arrested on Sunday for domestic assault.

The incident is said to have taken place at his home in Long Lake Estates. Neither the rocker nor his wife, former beauty queen Jaclyn Nesheiwat, was injured. However, sheriff spokesperson, Paul Miller, says there were signs of assault inside the couple's $4.9 million house.
