Scissor Sisters star Jake Shears has written a song for Kylie Minogue after being inspired by her breast cancer battle.
The flamboyant frontman was so moved by friend Kylie's recovery he pleaded with her to go into the studio with him. However, Jake doesn't believe the track will ever see the light of day because it's "darker" than her usual material.
He said: "Babydaddy and I wrote a song with Kylie called 'Singing In My Sleep', which is really atmospheric and dark."
"It's a really cool song but I don't know if she'll put it on her album because it's really one of the stranger things she's ever recorded."
"We were feeling really inspired that day. She's doing so well now."
Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 and after undergoing grueling chemotherapy treatment, which resulted in her losing her hair, she's made a full recovery.
Meanwhile, Jake has hinted there could be a Scissor Sisters musical. The 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' star said: "There have been rumors. I really can't say. There are always experiments and projects. I can't say anything. We've all got our things going on."
