It seems like everybody has been on Paul McCartney's side in his ensuing divorce scandal, and nobody could care less about Heather Mills - except for close family members, of course.

Tongue-twister Scissor Sisters singer Jake Shears - got that? - recently voiced his support for Paul in his divorce from Heather and said Paul even inspired him to write a special song.

The flamboyant singer is a big fan of the Beatles legend and thinks he deserves "peace" in his life.

Jake told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Let's just say I'm on team Macca. He was so lovely to me when I met him, a really nice guy. My heart goes out to the man over all this divorce stuff. I feel like the man deserves a bit more peace of mind than having to deal

with all of this at his time of life."

The 28-year-old also revealed that Heather snubbed him the first time they met - until she realized who he was.

He said, "I found Heather to have her nose really stuck up in the air. Honestly, she didn't give me the time of day. You would expect someone to be a bit gracious or pleasant but Heather was nothing like that. Then someone must have told her who I was and suddenly it was a completely different situation. She couldn't have been more charming. But by then my mind was made up. But hey, they do say love is blind."

Jake, who wrote a song called "Paul McCartney" which is included on the Scissor Sisters' new album "Ta-Dah," says he was inspired to write the track after a dream.

He said, "Paul came to me once in a dream and gave me a really good talk. The next day I wrote the track."
