Sarah Michelle Gellar will have fans screaming again and holding on to the edge of their seats with her new movie. The former "Buffy-The Vampire Slayer" actress has signed on to be cast in the Hitchcock-like movie "Addicted."
According to The HollywoodReporter.com, the movie focuses on a woman whose husband and brother-in-law get in an accident where they later end up in a coma. In an interesting twist, when the brother finally comes to be, he claims to be her husband. The woman is stuck making sense of her reality and realizes there's something deeper at play here-her story may not be what it appears to be.
Like many Hollywood horror/thriller movies, the screenplay was adapted from "Jungkok," a 2002 South Korean movie.
"To have such a haunting screenplay combined with a star, producers and directors who have had the experience and success with this type of film in the past makes us truly excited about the project," said the movie producer, Yari.
Swedish filmmakers Joe Bergvall and Simon Sandquist are set to direct the movie, which will begin production in October.
Distribution for the film is still unknown.
Meanwhile, Sarah will be starring in another thriller "The Return," which will come out in theaters on November 10.
