| Cheryl Cole wants to launch a solo career. The Girls Aloud - who recently worked without bandmates Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle on U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor" - star is keen to make a record on her own, but will only do it with the permission of the rest of the group. When asked if the other members were worried she would quit the band to go solo, she said: "That's a horrible thing to think." | |
| Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow serenaded Cheryl Cole over the phone. The couple had called each member of Girls Aloud - Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding - individually to convince them to support Chris' band Coldplay. But when it came to persuading "The X Factor" judge Cheryl, the pair decided they needed to make an extra-special effort and sang a rendition of the girl group's hit "Sound Of The Underground." | |
| Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte renewed their wedding vows on Saturday. The couple flew their closest family and friends to Hurghada, Egypt, to make up for them missing their secret ceremony in Las Vegas last year. | |
| Sarah Harding has reportedly got engaged. The Girls Aloud beauty - famed for her wild partying - was overjoyed when DJ boyfriend Tom Crane proposed to her last weekend and the pair are already said to be planning a lavish wedding, including DJ sets and performances from their musical friends. A source close to Sarah - who showed off her ring at a Music Industry Trust dinner on Monday - revealed to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Sarah is very rock'n'roll. And Tom is obviously passionate about his music as well, so they are planning the mother of all rock 'n' roll weddings." | |
| Victoria Beckham has reportedly snubbed an invitation to Mel B's wedding. Mel, 33, is renewing her vows with film producer husband Stephen Belafonte in a four-day ceremony in Egypt this week, following their 2007 marriage in Las Vegas. | |
| Cheryl Cole has branded the Spice Girls "b****es" whose success has been overblown. The Girls Aloud singer - who is currently starring as a judge on U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor" - claims the 90s group don't deserve to be lauded as pop icons because their reunion was so short-lived and they are not as talented as her band. | |
