Tom Cruise and Salma Hayek's production companies have both received bomb threats from an anonymous phone caller, which turned out to be a false alarm.

Cruise' United Artists production company, Hayek's Ventanarosa production company, and talent agency ICM had been evacuated when other tenants at the MGM building had received a mysterious phone call saying a bomb would be activated at noon.

Salma Hayek and her fiance have called off their engagement. The 'Frida' actress and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault - who have a 10-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma together - were reportedly set to marry later this year, but their spokesperson confirms the plans have now been "canceled."

The representative said: "We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been cancelled. There will be no further comment."

Salma Hayek is reportedly planning to spend $3.5 million on her wedding. The 'Frida' actress - who has a nine-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma with her fiance, French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault - is set to wed Francois in a lavish ceremony in France next spring.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "It took Francois over a year to get Salma to agree to marry him, and he doesn't want to spare any expense. Francois basically gave her the key to the vault and said, 'Go wild.'"
