It seems that not everybody is outraged at Sacha Baron Cohen for pulling pranks and making others look like complete fools.

One unknown writer - in the U.S. - has even praised the actor for shedding some light in his country and putting it back on the map. Sapabek Asip-uly recently decided to nominate the comedian for bringing so much publicity to Kazakhstan and making it the subject of many people's conversations - somewhere.

According to AP, author Asip-uly asked the Kazakh Club of Art Patrons to award Sacha with their annual award for his brilliance and unbeatable genius.

When talking about Sacha's highly successful fictional character Borat, Asip-uly said "(Borat) has managed to spark an immense interest of the whole world in Kazakhstan, something our authorities could not do during the years of independence."

He added, "If state officials completely lack a sense of humor, their country becomes a laughing stock."
