Ryan Seacrest really gives back. The American Idol host has waived his paycheck for hosting the "Idol Gives Back" special Sunday.

Seacrest, 33, reportedly wanted to show fans that he was serious about the show's cause and decided to donate his salary for the evening.

A source close to the radio and TV host tells People, "When he and Simon went to Africa last year and saw the children, it was really life-altering for him. He just knew he had to do his part and be willing to put his money where his mouth is."

Seacrest is reportedly earning $14 million annually, according to Forbes.com. "Idol Gives Back" is the hit talent show's charitable campaign that aims to give back to people in poverty in both Africa and the U.S. The pre-recorded show will be telecast on Wednesday.
